Barça to Host Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
