Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

An official for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving women.

The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
